Who else loves online shopping, especially when customer service is excelente?! Daniella, an Aussie Mama and founder of Threads for Boys, is known for ensuring positive customer experience that goes beyond expectations for every single one of her valued customers (well-worth checking out the consistent 5 star reviews she’s been receiving!). We had the privilege of having a mini chat with her, and were able to get some insight into the backstory of her business that specifically focuses on ethically produced clothing and accessories for little boys!
How did the name 'Threads for Boys' come about? Is there a special meaning behind it?
I wanted a name that would stand out and immediately grab the attention of mamas of little boys around the world.
What inspired you to start a business in kids' fashion?
My first-born son. I was really frustrated with the lack of clothing options that were available in stores for boys at the time. There were so many gorgeous clothes for girls that were easily accessible, but sadly, the situation was not the same for boys. It didn’t take long for me to realise that it wasn’t just me experiencing such frustration, many other mums were going through the same struggle of finding clothes for little boys that were different to the stereotypical boy designs that were more commonly available. This clear gap in the market gave me the urge to want to provide other mums an outlet where they can find cool and unique pieces for their little boys with ease – and, that was how Threads for Boys was born.
What do you think makes Threads for Boys different to other kids' retail outlets?
We are dedicated to providing mums of boys cool, unique, and on-trend clothing and accessories for their little legends. The brands we stock are all carefully selected from independent Australian and international designers, so quality is of upmost importance. Threads for Boys aims to provide little boys the ability to express their individuality, whilst standing out of the crowd in edgy, street-style threads and accessories. We also take customer service very seriously and pride ourselves on providing exceptional service to our customers, which means letting no detail go unnoticed. For instance, we love to include a few personal touches into our orders that make shopping from Threads for Boys all that more special.
What's your favourite part about running an online store? Do you see Threads for Boys expanding into a physical store in the future, or would you prefer to stay virtual?
I love that I can run Threads for Boys anywhere and at anytime, giving me the flexibility to work around my family. Being an online store also provides customers the convenience of shopping whenever suits them best. We all know how hard it can be to leave the house with kids, let alone make it through a shopping centre trip without a single tantrum. At this stage, staying virtual is the way forward in today’s society. The only downside to not having a brick and mortar shop is the lack of physical interaction with customers; thanks to social media, however, we receive a lot of pictures from our gorgeous customers of their little rad boys modelling the threads purchased from our store – a source of motivation that makes running this business all worth it.
How would you say Huxbaby's range adds to your business?
Huxbaby provides a unique range of monochrome fix. Our customers love the quality that Huxbaby provides; the organic, luxe materials make it possible to pass down purchases to younger ones, still in top-notch condition.
Was there anything you'd like to say to your customers and our Hux Readers?
We love our customers and would like to say a big THANK YOU to every single one of them. Thank you for supporting us and for your continued loyalty, because without you, Threads for Boys would not be the same. We are so blessed to have grown an awesome community of mamas who love to dress their little boys in cool outfits. We are very excited for the future and can’t wait to bring many more stylish threads to our customers.
